This blog started at the beginning of Al Franken’s historic race against Norm Coleman to take over the Senate seat once held by Paul Wellstone.  Wellstone died along with his wife Shiela and daughter Marcia and three staff people less than two weeks before the 2002 election.  Currently I am beginning to cover the race for the next Governor in Minnesota.  Tim Pawlenty has stepped down, and seems to be running for President in 2012.
