Almost done counting, except for the ones that didn’t count before.  Maybe we will know who won the Senate race by the  time the robins return in the spring. The lawyers will be the biggest winners!

Have you been going frequently to watch the recount?

No. I only went twice. This particular image if from the day they discovered they were missing the 133 ballots. I’m happy with this image. It speaks subtly to me being fed up with the whole thing. Several times this past summer when things got especially nasty I would think, well at least by Nov. 4th it will all be done. Wrong.

I got an email from the Franken campaign (you probably got it also) saying according to their inside tallies, as of yesterday Franken is ahead by 10 votes. Reading the press accounts today, including the Reuters, they say Coleman still holds a narrow lead. Both sides are stepping up to claim a recount victory. I geuss we can be certain this will go to the courts and perhaps to the U.S. Senate. And it seems that Pawlenty will also get involved at some point. Yah, I think this race is going to be around for a long while.

In the meantime, I think it was Eric Black who was asking why Coleman would not answer questions about his ethics violations and possible gift taking scandals he is mired in and will be well on into the future regardless of the outcome of the recounts and appeals.
