In the words of Eleanor Roosevelt…
“The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.”

Barack’s campaign and his messages inspire me. I am grateful for his vision which is inspiring young voters, Senior’s and middle-age Americans to become engaged in the political process to change things for the better. He is a realist and yet he remains positive and affirming… When I heard him speak in the Twin Cities last weekend, I felt the positive energy radiating throughout the Target Center… This country needs his vision and outlook…

I just finished reading the complete transcript of Barack Obama’s speech he gave yesterday
regarding Race, Gender and Democracy. I viewed the speech twice yesterday…once live as he gave it… and a second time yesterday evening on YouTube.
I am deeply moved by his words, his integrity, his passion and his compassion for humans, of all race, sex and cultural heritages. It was a powerful, moving speech. What struck me most… was his honesty. I was left with a deep sense of hope for the future and and an empowering and energizing feeling that… FINALLY… people (in this case Barack) are addressing the REAL CHALLENGES… THE REAL ISSUES … Humanity faces.
Barack Obama shared his true spirit and soul with the American people… within this speech. I hope that he continues to move from this space forward… dumps the managed political marketing messages and allows us to continue to know and connect with his true spirit and soul. I was left with a strong sense of hope…
“We must accept life for what it actually is… a challenge to our quality without which we shall never know what stuff we are made, or grow to our full stature.” Robert Louis Stevenson.

This is a great photo. I find it amusing that Obama is attacked for the strength of his speechmaking; for the power of the images he inspires; for bringing people into the process through the use of words. Action not words, his critics content. Yet, his critics and opponents have not shown us anything beyond their words and the difference is that their words do not inspire. And the reason their words do not inspire is because they fail to resonate, they fail to move beyond political posturing and negative assaults on their opponent Barack Obama. I hope we have the courage to rise to the level of his inspiration and not fall to the depths of spin-doctors, cynics, bloodhounds for power and the bitterness of those who fail to move people to change the world.

Yeah, I am very discouraged by the Clinton campaign. In Pennsylvania, yet another spin attack on Obama and cheesy false posturing by Billary. Add to that the four or five times the Clinton campaign has attempted to play the race card, you know they’ll do anything to win. This is the kind of politics we want to get rid of in this country. It is the fear-based, unintelligent posturing of politicians who cannot inspire change and instead resort to fueling the fire of fear that divides our society. Hillary is no better than any Republican or fear based shock jock on the morning drive shows. She is returning to her base values as a Goldwater Republican. It is bound to happen when you are the ultimate insider and get so close to have this power.

As I move back through all the images Terry has posted on this blog… I am deeply moved by this image of Obama… During the past months, he has dealt with a great deal. I listened to the speech he gave … to clarify his thoughts and feelings connected to the personal betrayal he has encountered from his religious advisor and pastor. His words… (Obama’s) were piercing and direct… and yet they were filled with HOPE. Hope is different than denial.
Denial implies that you do not recognize the reality before your eyes, even as you speak about and strive to change it with every fiber of your being. HOPE is a great deal more than WILLPOWER and UNDERSTANDING. Obama… stands for and offers this country and our citizens…HOPE… REAL HOPE. In the words of Victor Frankel: ” Everything can be taken away from a human being, but one thing…the last of the human freedom’s …HOPE… the ability to choose one’s attitude in any given set of circumstances…to choose one’s way. Barack Obama’s words and campaign.. have helped me to renew my sense of hope.. in myself, in this nation and its people… in democracy.
