The crowd reaction to my film Letter to My Mother was fantastic. My Mom had a blast being the movie star for the day, and my dear friends Ann Viitala and Laura Ayers graciously hosted the most lovely reception after the film. I am filled with gratitude. My film won an audience choice award!

October 20, 2008The film “Letter to My Mother” yesterday at the Riverview was really fun. I’d say of all the films I watched it got some of the biggest audience reactions and TWO applause rounds at the end. Great fun! I was happy I could be there to enjoy it with Darleen, Lou and you.
Now, we are waiting for the hour long family history, contrasting the generations, from what you borrowed to how you rebelled… :) If it is anything like my family history it will be filled with struggles, love, anger, triumphs, conflicts, reconciliation, inheritance and rejection, tolerance, pain, and ultimately growth and back to love. You know what I mean?

October 20, 2008Yes Robb, in the end, the love is the most important thing. I sure felt a lot of that yesterday from all my pals. Thanks for being a part of it all!

October 20, 2008Those were awesome birthday cakes …. lucky dog. Your mother sure is beautiful, inside and out. And it was nice to see the twinkle in your dad’s eyes. It’s all good.
