A sad day for Governor Dayton and the people of Minnesota
Twice during the Governor’s remarks there were boos and hisses from some of the Republicans in the room. Never before has that happened to a sitting Governor in Minnesota. The disrespect has gone way too far with the new Tea Party legislators. Remarks of Governor Mark Dayton—As prepared for delivery Thursday, June 30, 2011 I […]
Battleground, St. Paul MN.
The Republican leaders huddled before their spin press conference. The Republican’s refusal to tax the top 2% wage earners has resulted in the stalemate that will be shutting down state government at midnight tonight. Showdown at the Capitol
Today’s offer from Speaker of the House Kurt Zeller and Senate Majority leader Amy Koch was to take their tax cuts off the table if Governor Dayton will take off his proposal to raise taxes on the wealthiest 2 % of Minnesotans. It definitely feels like the OK Corral in St. Paul these days.

End of Session 2011
The 2011 Legislative session has ended without resolving the budget. The only thing accomplished was passing the Bradlee Dean you can run but you can’t hide Gay marriage amendment. We get discrimination instead of the promised jobs. There will be a special session, but I’m starting to believe there is no way this will […]
Waiting for vote totals on Gay marriage amendment.
Such a sad day in our history that was voted on tonight. Discriminating against people who love each other. I’m filled with so much emotion and am utterly speechless.
