Remembering Wellstone 10 years later

Today was my first visit to the site just south of Eveleth, where Senator Paul Wellstone’s plane crashed ten years ago.   It is a most reverent place and today’s gentle snow brought a cleansing beauty to this sad day of remembering great lives cut short.  I’m afraid I have no other words this evening, just a few images from a day that I’m grateful to have shared with the others who gathered to remember.

Rick Nolan and Senator Tom Harkin.

Tom Rukavina.

Thanks Terry. Beautiful pics, I want more. I’ve never been there, but the peace of it could be felt through your photos.

They came. They shared. They wept. Wow, lovely and moving. Heart-wrenching, no? I haven’t been there yet, but thanks to your photos, I feel like I get a feel for what it is there.

To your heart and your magnificent eyes!

Terry – these photos are lovely. I had planned on being there, but could not make it at the last minute. Your work helps ease the pain of not being there.
